Showcases
Showcases are for students who find exhibition dancing exciting. Special choreography is incorporated in solo or group routines to suit each student's ability and interest. Showcase numbers allow students to throw the rulebook out of the window and express themselves through freestyle dancing incorporating ballroom dance elements with stage dance elements. In novelty numbers, the dance tells a story and develops characters in relation to one another. Theater arts routines include beautiful lifts and high-risk tricks. Solo routines use steps the student has learned and is choreographed to the music of their choice. Participating in a showcase is a long remembered experience.

Social Practice Parties
Social Practice Parties are an ideal way for the beginner student to practice all the new material they have learned in a real life dance environment with the added bonus of their Personal Dance Trainer also being present. This helps the new student overcome the initial starting difficulties and avoid typical beginner frustrations. Students also have the opportunity to dance with all the Personal Dance Trainers and/or change partners to challenge and improve their leading and following skills. Social Practice Parties also give the Personal Dance Trainers the opportunity to see how the students dance in an actual social dance situation.
Each month That Dancer’s Place hosts a Birthday and Anniversary party with cake and refreshments to celebrate all the students with a birthday or anniversary that month.
That Dancer’s Place usually holds Social Practice Parties every other week on Friday Evenings from 9:00 to 10:30 pm.
Prior to every party the studio holds a Guest Party.
Please check our Calendar for the next Guest and Social Practice Party date.

Guest Parties
Guest Parties are a great opportunity for our students to introduce their friends and associates to the studio. 30 minute Guest Lessons provided during the party teach the guests of students the basic steps to 6-7 different dances. Immediately following the Guest Lesson Party is our Social Practice Party, at which guests are able to practice the basic patterns they just learned.
